Saint-Pierre Church

Between 1691 and 1697: The church was either rebuilt or at least completely restored. In 1731: The church was completely rebuilt. In 1822-1823: The church was extended. In 1859: The church was extended again. In 1877: The “Kreisdirektor” (sub-prefect) ordered the church to be closed since it was deemed to be dangerous; the roof timbers were stabilised with iron bars, and the wall on the Zinzing side was reinforced with 3 pillars. In 1881: It was demolished and the present-day church was built. Between 1939 and 1945: The church suffered minimal damage. After the war, only the roof timbers and tiles were replaced.
