Christmas cookies have a long tradition in Moselle. Spritz is a case in point. This much-appreciated little dry cake graces family tables during the Advent season, and its recipe varies according to individual tastes. At the Cacopardo bakery, it was the brainchild of company founder Carmelo Cacopardo, several decades ago. His grandson has brought it up to date with chocolate, coconut and almond variations. The cakes are molded using a cast-iron machine with a hand-operated crank. An exceptional heritage respected and modernized.
