Saint Wendelin Church

Before the present-day church was built, other greater and lesser buildings mark the history of the church in Diebling. In the 11th or 12th century, a place of worship seems to have existed already in Diebling, a simple oratory or chapel dedicated to St Wendelin, the patron saint of the parish. It is only the creation of the Brotherhood of St Wendelin in the year 1423 that confirmed the existence of a chapel and one that had even become a place of pilgrimage. Catholic church
