Forty-five years after the demise of the Shiraz-Persepolis Arts Festival, Iranian and now Berlin-based choreographer Armin Hokmi imagines its rebirth through dance. On stage, seven performers tirelessly weave patterns of movement, winding and unwinding to the bewitching rhythm of a captivating soundtrack. Their minimalist gestures, executed with rigor and subtlety, create fluid trajectories that unite them in ephemeral constellations. This performance transports the audience to another time and place, evoking the very essence of the original festival. Somewhere between homage and reinvention, Shiraz brings together past and present in an immersive, sensory experience. Armin Hokmi is an artist to be discovered urgently!
