Located between Forbach, Schoeneck, and Stiring-Wendel, the Simon Quarry is a site spanning nearly 87 hectares, which was once operated by the Houill\u00e8res du Bassin de Lorraine for coal mining. <\/strong><\/p>

It is a remarkable site with a panorama resembling an American canyon, overlooking an artificial lake forming due to rising groundwater.<\/p>

4.5 km of cycle paths allow visitors to explore the site, enabling cyclists and walkers to coexist along a route that invites discovery of flora and fauna in a former sand quarry. It also connects the municipality of Schoeneck to Stiring-Wendel via the Green Corridor and then to the Saar cycle paths via Metzerstrasse in Saarbr\u00fccken (Germany).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
