It featured a square keep and a palace which was enlarged and fortified over the following centuries. <\/p><p>In the 14th century, the building appeared as a large fortress. The round tower was erected in 1437, and the current octagonal tower dates from 1891. Until the 17th century, the castle was transformed and supplemented with bastions.  <\/p><p>Following the castle's pillaging in 1591, it was redeveloped before being definitively razed in 1634 by Marshal de la Force, on the orders of Richelieu and King Louis XIII.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af1257c elementor-arrows-position-inside
